My creative space - Sweet Garlands

For the last week I have been busily handcutting these embossed flowers to make (I think) pretty, sweet  and delicate garlands. I have an indent on my right forfinger from the scissors and I am afraid that I have 'turned the corner', I definitnately have to get some glasses!

I just finished this "Baby, Baby!" garland this morning. I have used pink gingham fabric, tracing paper and a vintage book of nursery rhymes to create this pastel piece of perfection! (or PPP)

Sorry that sounds a bit over the top but I am honing my writing descriptive skills for etsy. My aim is to sell these at markets and etsy. It has been a pretty big step for me, putting any of my stuff out there, but, I am determined to carry on! I don't want to be on my death bed with a mass of regrets and "what might have beens." I really want to make some kind of a living creating and making things that I love.

Now I have put it out there. Let the gods do their work. !

I am playing with Kirsty at Kotooyoo today. Pop over and see what goodness the other creatives have made.

  2. They're beautiful. Good luck with etsy...from personal experience I found I had trouble competing (price wise) with other sellers who just wanted to make a sale and not a profit. Now I do markets and do really well. Your garlands are so cute and tactile that I think they will do well if people see them in person...I'd buy one! Good on you for following your dreams.
